I started working in Industry for a manufacturing company before moving into an accountancy practice where I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant. In 1995 I started my own accountancy practice and have seen it grow which gives me great pride in the work we do.

I enjoy skiing having been asked to go many years ago by a friend and it has become something that I now wouldn’t want to give up. I also enjoy gardening and building things. I have two children, now fully grown, who have gone off to do wonderful things.

Moving down from the North of Scotland to Essex in 2017, I started working for a Japanese trading company as a data processor. I started studying towards my AAT qualification in 2019 and have now qualified at level 3. I have also passed my first exam at level 4 with an 89% pass. I started working at McMillan Rose & Co in April 2021 and have loved the variety of work I get to be involved in. In my free time I enjoy coaching gymnastics and snowboarding.

My background is predominantly management accounting based where I have taken on various in house roles since 2016. I have also worked for a large London media Corporation as a Corporation Tax Analyst for 3 years. I have a degree in Accounting and Finance BSc (Hons) and I am also part CIMA qualified.

My home life is centered around my two young children, therefore most of my time outside of work is spent with them on family walks and visiting different places in and around where we live.

Payroll and administration

Previously worked in accountancy practice for many years as PA to Partner.  Moved into work as PA to Chartered Surveyor before moving back into accountancy to carry out payroll functions and administration work in running the business.

I like to garden and then spend time in the garden.  I also like to travel through Europe to see places of interest.
